About the Event
This group is intended to be a space where women of color can connect with one another in community. It is a place for you to feel seen, heard, and valued.
We’re here to laugh, cry, celebrate one another and hopefully walk away feeling uplifted. You are welcome to come as you are (with or without lunch, especially if you’re on the west coast)!
As a woman of color, you may be experiencing a specific set of experiences:
- "Micro" aggressions
- Equity issues
- Societal biases
- Being a caregiver
- Lack of representation
It’s a lot on the nervous system to navigate through all of the systemic issues, especially now.
The basic format of the hour will be similar to a weekly check-in. You will have the opportunity to share your challenges and celebrations - in a space where embodying all of who you are is welcomed.
We will always start with introductions and time to settle into the space together. Treina will facilitate some grounding and anchoring practices to support calming the nervous system.
Treina will also share a weekly wellness tip to help empower your resilience.
